In, "I May Be on My Last Chance," an AA remembers that there may not be a second chance to get sober.

In this story and others this week, we hear how AAs have used the Steps to strengthen their recovery. In one story, a sailor explains how he uses the Fourth Step to settle conflicts aboard an isolated, ocean-going ship. In another story, a man describes a Ninth Step amends 30 years in the making. The last two stories deal with making Twelfth Step calls—some of which worked and others which didn't.
