What We Were Like

I started in Georgetown, an area next to Boeing Field, in Seattle, Washington. The President had died a few weeks before. Germany had surrendered and Japan was about finished. Most of the world's population had been trying to kill each other since 1938. I was homeless and on the streets. It was early July 1945.
