The Anecdote Bin

Dedicated to the lighter side of our common problem, The Anecdote Bin will contain bits and pieces as they accumulate. If you have a favorite story or clipping, please send it along. Ed.

A FAITHFUL reader informs us of a book called "Anguish Languish," written by Professor H. L. Chace at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Anguish is just like English except that similar-sounding words are substituted for the words originally intended. As an example, here's Prof. Chace's version of Old Mother Hubbard:
