Once Over Lightly

Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

MAYBE HE'D BEEN in a drunken fog, and G. F., Caroline Islands, tells about a fellow who had a blackout during one. He was having a slip when he met his sponsor on the street and drunkenly promised he'd be at the next meeting. True to his word, he was there--somewhat spiffed, but present. Not only that, but he gave a short statement of apology and repentance to the group.
