AA Around the World

JOE R., A SEAMAN aboard the S.S. African Rainbow, wrote in the October Grapevine of meeting up with a "human dynamo" in South Africa--Harold H. These excerpts from, two of Harold's letters to Joe continue the exciting serial story of AA in Africa.

. . . Last week I was up in Pretoria for the annual AA convention [writes Harold in letter #1.] What a time we had--the Pretoria groups certainly went to town! There are now ninety-three groups in the country. When the discussions were on I told them of meeting up with you and of the talk we gave at Lamontville and that you were getting us a translation of the Twelve Steps into Zulu. They are looking forward to it. The Service Information Center has a translation in Sesuto and what with the Zulu translation coming they will be able to cover all the various tribes in the Union.
