A Busy Spot in South Africa

News, comments and letters from and about AA's worldwide outposts and centers--gleaned from letters to the Grapevine and the General Service Office, and from the "AA Exchange Bulletin," published by the General Service Office.

CHRISTMAS is at hand again. That feeling of good spirit in everyone. Not out of a bottle for me however. Our little group is fairly well established although one member is still finding difficulty in doing without the spirit in the bottle. I think, though, that he will eventually click. I am very proud of this little group. It will soon be three years ago that I started the group when I was a loner (not registered), I was told by an alky doctor to start the group. I thought him crazy. As I knew nothing about AA except that I wanted desperately to stay sober and live a normal sane life. There were lots of ups and downs, more downs than ups, although I always had that faith that it would grow. With help and continuous prayer.
