Uno, Dos. . .

The first time Francisco heard about AA was when he attended a public information meeting in a church in his hometown in Mexico (pop. 2,500), where AA hoped to start a group. He was interested because for five or six years he had wanted to stop drinking. He didn't enjoy being drunk anymore and his life was unmanageable. In fact, that Sunday morning he was so early at the church that he found enough time to have three beers before the AAs came and placed chairs outside and established electrical sound. The meeting began; Francisco sat at the end row, listening carefully to the stories being told by several AAs. When they were finished he felt touched and decided to be present the next day when they would start a group in a rented room to have AA meetings.
