Tradition One: Our common welfare should come first; personal recovery depends upon A.A. unity.

AA’s Twelve Traditions are the principles by which we maintain a healthy and welcoming environment for recovery. In dealing with sick alcoholics, this can be quite a challenge. The First Tradition reads, “Our common welfare should come first; personal recovery depends upon AA unity.”
