A Fourth Step freed her from constantly asking, "Why me?"
STEP FOUR: Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
We all learn many things about ourselves in Step Four. That we’re not as perfect as we thought we were. That we’re not always right. That we have wronged others. That others have wronged us and we were hurt. That our egos allowed the seven sins of nature to rule our lives and block us from the sunlight of the spirit. But I also learned something else: That I was born with a disease called alcoholism.
