The incarcerated alcoholic I was randomly linked to through the Corrections Correspondence Service was several states away. I soon found out that he had a copy of the Big Book already and a deep well of willingness. When we decided to take the journey through the Twelve Steps together via the mail, neither of us were sure how it would work out, but we decided to begin and to trust the details to a loving God.
