I'd like to comment further on the focus you have given to American post-9/11 "sobriety" issues in the Grapevine.
As an AA member who has lived abroad and attended meetings in many countries, I am fully aware and appreciative of AA's open and inclusive worldwide fellowship. My reaction to the Grapevine's focus on issues around 9/11 was "Oh, darn, they think they're New Yorkers (or Americans) first and alcoholics, second."
Perhaps it was a well-thought out decision (as the editorial comment said), and perhaps...
