Younger alcoholic male patients without cirrhosis or other diseases may suffer from an increased risk of developing low bone mineral density (BMD), researchers at the Medical University Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Austria, report. Female alcoholics in the same age group did not have the same risk, they say.
