I suppose my powerlessness over alcohol started in college although the signs were present when I was in high school.

I was a pretty happy-go-lucky type of person. Always trying to be the nice guy, I guess I'm still that way today.

There was a darker period when I was a junior in high school. My father died in 1997 of a heart attack. I was the one who found him lying on his back out in our garage.
