Losing his job while he was counting days turned out to not be so terrible
For the last 15 years I have known my drinking would catch up with me sooner or later. I would drink myself into the grave or for some reason God would stop me.
Every day driving home from work, on my way to the liquor store, I would think to myself, "This can't go on forever."
