September 2012: How Did He Know I Was New?
Early in sobriety, I, like others, showed up late, hovered in the back and promptly took off after the Lord’s Prayer. My lack of fellowship impeded my understanding of the organization and structure of the meeting.
After a couple months of one meeting a week, I decided to branch out. There was a meeting near my home, and it was a beginners’ meeting. On this rare occasion I arrived early and sat in the circle. A kind fellow walked up to me, handed me “How It Works” and asked me to read it.
