With her HP and a little action, a woman in a prison without many meetings finds a pretty good solution

I felt deflated as I entered the female worker pod at the Jefferson County Jail. Now, only bimonthly AA meetings would be offered. I could imagine all the work I’d done as a sober woman slowly draining away. I had just found my amazing sponsor, I’d thoroughly done the Steps and I was beginning to sponsor another woman. I was starting to feel a solid foundation of sobriety that I’ve only found in Alcoholics Anonymous. I was fearful because when I left this facility eight months ago, I found a reason to drink. My foundation was very unsteady back then. And now I was back. This time I knew I needed more AA!
