When I came into AA, I struggled with the whole God thing, as many of us do. Growing up, the God of my understanding was a vengeful God who was ready to curse me for all eternity if I made mistakes. As most kids do, I made some serious mistakes that were "unforgiveable" in the eyes of the religion I was raised in.
