As often seems to be the case for me in such situations, most of the concerns I had over bilateral knee replacement surgery in May wound up nothing to be worried about.
Major surgery for the first time at sixty caused me to worry about discomfort using a catheter, and whether sticking a needle in my tummy every day--delivering medicine to fight blood clots—was something I could do.
