You Just Never Know

Ring the alarm! There’s a disruptive member in the room

My home group’s meetings are regularly disrupted by a young man who suffers from what seems to be an emotional or mental disorder of some kind. He is extremely restless, and wanders around during the meeting, talking to himself. He laughs wildly at what I deem inappropriate times. He flirts with the women by raising his eyebrows up and down at them, all the while flashing a broad smile with ill-preserved teeth. His clothing is soiled, his hair often a matted mess. He attends and shares regularly and, although what he shares seems to be for the most part unintelligible, disjointed “AA speak,” he does seem to be a little more grounded in reality than he was at first.
