Dysfunction was the theme of my home life. From failed marriages, to cops breaking up domestic fights, we were quite the picturesque family.
I used to watch television shows of the perfect family, laughing and enjoying one another and would find some sense of serenity and happiness. My father left us when I was very young, and I was forced to be a parent to my little sister. My father's departure began my mother's search for Mr. Right.
