A Coin for Mark

He thought he’d never see hope in his tragic drinking story. But luckily, through service he now does

A friend came up to me after a meeting and gave me a phone number. He said that a mutual acquaintance of ours asked if I would call them concerning a tragedy in their family. It was the 4th of February.

So I called. A distraught woman on the other end of the line told me her son-in-law was drinking and driving and had hit a pedestrian, who died. My heart sank. She wanted to give her son-in-law my number with the hope that he would call me. His name was Mark. She had heard my story and knew I had had a similar experience in my drinking life.
