Both my parents were born in Hawaii and raised in Okinawa, Japan. They were workaholics. They worked 15 hours a day, six days a week. My parents were too busy to know where their 5-year-old daughter was and I was sexually molested. I carry no resentment over this because the Steps taught me that they did the best they could with what they had.
