Up North at the Cabin

He found that there were ways to stay sober at his family hideaway

It's after nine and I just got back to my cabin after going to my Friday night meeting in beautiful downtown Longville, Minn. It was a great meeting where one member received her 19-year medallion. We also had two fathers and sons, a married couple, a newcomer, a few retirees, a first-timer at our meeting, a few weekenders and a few of the snowbirds who had just returned to their summer homes.

The only downside for the night was the ice cream parlor still hadn't opened for the season so our after-meeting fellowship consisted of chatting outside instead of enjoying a scoop or a cone. It was just as well because it was 46 degrees with drizzle.
