Coming up on a year, a traveling newcomer arrives back to his home group to find an unexpected gift
My sobriety date is February 22nd, 2010. Since then, I’ve often wondered if I can truly make that claim. Medically speaking, I wasn’t sober when I was admitted to the treatment center; although I might have dropped below the threshold by the end of the day. But I know for sure that I didn’t have a drink then, and I haven’t had one since. I’m grateful for the gift of sobriety, and thankful for the program and the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous, which makes it possible.
