Most of us know that without a profound personality change, we cannot achieve sobriety or a connection to a Higher Power. I sought that profound personality change from alcohol. I always wanted to be someone other than me. Early on, I found that alcohol worked. I felt smarter, prettier, more sociable and less fearful. You all know the story.
