I spent the first six and a half years of my sobriety in the same town. I went to treatment there and then transitioned easily into the local AA scene.

In 2014, I applied to graduate schools and I was accepted into a school in Macon, Georgia. It was more than 100 miles from my home group in Augusta. That same year, I got married. Many big changes were heading my way.
