Last year, 47,700 people died in automobile accidents on U. S. highways. Were half--23,850--killed by chronic alcoholics?

A study of drivers responsible for fatal accidents by Dr. Melvin Selzer and Mrs. Sue Weiss of the University of Michigan, largely financed by the Chrysler Corporation, seems to support this grim view.
