Personal Opinion - 'World Health-Jan. '66'

Late last year an issue (Jan., 1966) of World Health magazine came to my attention. Even this much later it seems worthwhile to call it to attention of others interested in alcoholism. The issue is particularly notable for some very fine historical illustrations. Paintings, photos, drawings, even Egyptian hieroglyphics reveal man's long, sometimes ecstatic sometimes troubled experience with wine, beer and booze. Artists represented include Daumier, Hals, Velasquez, Hogarth.

Editorial content ranges over alcohol problems in several nations of the world: the toll in physical and mental health; proneness to accidents; curious matters related to drinking.
