Dishonorable Discharges

It's possible a good many alcoholics will be interested to know that President Johnson signed into law Oct. 17, 1966 a bill permitting former servicemen to overcome the stigma of being released from the armed forces with other than honorable discharges.

The UPI reported that Johnson said the law would permit a veteran to obtain an Exemplary Rehabilitation Certificate from the Secretary of Labor "whenever he can justify to the Secretary that he has led an exemplary life for at least three years since the date of his discharge."
