As Clergymen See It

A West Virginia survey of clergymen indicates that "a considerable group feels able to handle problem drinkers themselves," but for those who believe in referring to other agencies, "the single greatest point of referral was to Alcoholics Anonymous."

The West Virginia Departments of Health and Mental Welfare cooperated in sending a questionnaire on alcoholism to approximately 2500 clergymen in the state. Answers came back from 557.
