NIMH Grant to Finance Interdisciplinary Research

ST. LOUIS----Alcohol is the focus of the largest research and training grant ever received by the psychiatry department of Washington University School of Medicine.

The $1,107,000 award comes from the Center for the Prevention and Control of Alcoholism of the National Institute of Mental Health.

It will finance, over a five-year period, investigations into such topics as suicide, crime, the family, alcohol usage patterns in alcoholics, psychic ills.
