Capacious Converter

For the alcoholic who has everything: A New York City mail-order firm has come up with a gadget that would have solved a big social problem for many an AA back in his drinking days, and will solve that problem for any toper still at it. It's a "Bottle Cracker," which looks like a Bessemer converter and is 4 1/2 inches around and 13 inches tall. Described as "an ideal gift for any occasion," the trusty cracker is "used to break bottles so that they take up less space in the trash. . . . The cracker safely and quickly shatters a bottle completely." Ah, well! It came too late for me.
