Test of Driving Skill

For years, the effect of alcohol on man's ability to drive an automobile has been sharply debated. The nondrinkers tend to feel that any alcohol sharply reduces the driver's skill. Many drinkers, on the other hand, feel that a reasonable amount of alcohol may even improve their reflexes when handling a car.

A London bus company conducted a novel and revealing experiment. The 30 top company drivers were divided into three groups of 10. The first 10 received no alcohol. The next 10 were each given two ounces. The third 10 drank six ounces of alcohol over a two-hour period.
