FLACKWELL, England--Christmas is the most profitable time of year for Fred Holdstock, a pub owner. So he has two a year. Every July since 1965, he has decked, the Stag tavern in this community with streamers and has served his customers turkey and mince pies while they sing carols around a Christmas tree.
