Progress on the Insurance Front

A major breakthrough in the treatment of alcoholics is Indiana Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance coverage for patients in the Cornelia Cole Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Any person who goes to the state's first specialized nonpublic hospital for the treatment of alcoholism may have his bills paid by Blue Cross and Blue Shield if he is a policy-holder.

Fred W. (Pete) Keuthan, chairman of the Executive Committee of Indiana Home, Inc., which operates the facility, said the contract will open the door for other major insurance companies to allow their policy-holders to receive treatment at the hospital.
