About Alcoholism - Alcoholism Information, Research and Treatment

Information, Education

A series of 12 color films dealing with the use and abuse of alcohol is being prepared under auspices of the United States Office of Education for distribution during the 1974-75 school year.

The series, in which students themselves provide much of the narration, is to be aimed at junior and senior high school audiences. "Instead of talking down to young people, these carefully researched films will feature boys and girls discovering the facts and myths about alcohol and communicating their findings to fellow students," says Sidney P. Marland Jr., the United States Commissioner of Education.
