Bridging the gap

A member shares a brief history of our wonderful, lifesaving local AA service

Terry L. is a past delegate (panel 63) from Southern Minnesota who has been involved with Bridging the Gap Twelfth Step work since the late 1980s. In 1991, he helped start the first Bridging the Gap Workshop Weekend with Rod B., a past delegate from Des Moines, Iowa. It is now an annual service event. The following article is Terry’s brief history of the Bridging the Gap program.

Bridging The Gap, or BTG, is the name and description of our AA Twelfth Step work that’s specifically focused on helping new prospects coming out of correctional facilities or treatment centers.
