Memorial Day 180

Most mornings I felt sorry for myself. I was newly sober and angry. The only thing I had in my favor was a supportive AA sponsor. She listened to my endless complaining until finally (I guess) she’d had enough. I was six months sober that February when she decided to put me into service, which only made me angrier.

Soon I was elected secretary of my Sunday morning home group at Chandler Lodge. I also made coffee  at the Friday night meeting. And now my sponsor was calling me on the phone asking me to fill in for Marilyn on Mondays at noon!
