Trunk full of love

The stories she read helped her so much she couldn’t wait to hit the road and share the good news

When I first got sober, I was very low-functioning. I still had “stuff”—a house, a dog, a car and a job. But I was completely disorganized and had a lot of trouble with my basic self-care. 

At my first AA meeting, I was dressed appropriately for the season, but the clothes had come out of a pile of dirty laundry and I had not showered that day. A week later, I was able to get in a shower before heading off to the morning meeting, but still could not manage clean clothes.
