Learning to do service

The author of “The Big Event” was tapped to chair a mini-conference, but had never held a position like that before. She had no idea what to do. But she got a service sponsor and asked a lot of questions. “One of the biggest struggles ... is being honest enough to say I don’t know and can you help me, please?” she writes. “Being chair ... forced me to face this fear.”
