Sharing her story with these men helped set her free from a prison of her own
On Saturday morning, I was watching a psychological horror movie about a dangerous man with multiple-personality disorder. I walked out halfway through after my boyfriend saw the tears pooling in the hollow of my neck and asked if I wanted to leave. So when I was asked to speak the following Monday at a men’s prison for violent sex offenders, I wondered if I would be able to do so effectively or whether I would have a reaction similar to the one I had on Saturday. But off I went.
