Dreaming About Becoming

I like to say I have two people living inside of me—the alcoholic and the woman I’ve always dreamed about becoming. My problem was that as a small child there were events in my life that left me feeling fearful, insecure and defeated. I knew I was never going to be good enough or be able to speak my truth. By the age of six, I was full of anger and resentments and I was certain that I had to carry them along and add to them as I grew up.
