Finding your lane

My friend left AA after more than two years of sobriety. At first I was disappointed, resentful and, I’ll admit, pretty judgmental. I thought it was selfish and self-centered of him to leave the program that saved his life.

Then I ran into him one day at the bowling alley. It had been months since I had seen him in a meeting. I made a snide comment about not having seen him in so long. I was joking around but then more of his story was revealed to me.
