Alcoholism can take years to develop, Dr. Nicholas A. Pace, president of the New York City affiliate of the National Council on Alcoholism, commented.

A report by his group showed that teenage alcoholism had become a "significant problem," and it apparently is showing up in the 20-29 age group, which potentially accounts for a large number of new workers.
