A drunk worker who drove his car on the company lawn had his punishment reduced by an arbitrator because the company was judged to share the blame. "The company's attitude towards preholiday drinking contribute to the grievant's offense," he ruled, claiming the concern allowed drinking during work hours in holiday periods.
