Something positive

You might think staying sober in prison should be easy, right? It’s not. Sometimes, I think it may be even harder to stay sober in here than out there, but then I remember how hard it was out there too. 

By the grace of God, I celebrated my one-year anniversary in December. It’s sad to say, but that was not the day I was incarcerated. In prison, I had to bump my head (literally) a couple of times before I realized how powerless I am. I know I need to change or I may just wind up in here again, if I’m lucky enough not to die beforehand. I’m afraid that my bottom would be death.
