A mother's lifeline

Thanks to her online home group, neither an injury nor a need for childcare can keep her from AA

Not long ago, a member of the 5th Dimension Young People’s Group of AA (my online home group) mentioned that Grapevine was asking for members to write their stories about experience with accessibility in AA. I knew I couldn’t miss that opportunity. In my early sobriety, I relied heavily on reading Grapevine articles at night. And I’ve read it ever since.

I got sober in 2004, and at the time I was able to attend meetings daily at my local area service office, which was directly across the street from where I worked. Apparently my Higher Power knew getting to meetings would have to be easy for me to be willing to go to AA.
