Bored with meetings

A rocky encounter with an old friend got one member thinking about the importance of making meetings

“I got bored.” That’s what he said.

I had been attending one of my regular AA meetings when I saw someone I hadn’t seen in a while. The format of this group, as with most groups, involved the chair asking if there was anyone new to the meeting who would like to introduce themselves. And this person, we’ll call him Bill, introduced himself as new to the meeting. Bill also acknowledged that he celebrated 10 years of sobriety
