No Matter Where I Go, There I Am

Traveling around the world, he finds AA ready and waiting for him.

When my original Higher Power (my wife) convinced me to attend the local meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous, I had no idea how vast a network you people had created. Nor did I know that there would be so many of you out there doing your best to stay sober and pass on that hope and serenity that you “promised” me on pages 83 and 84 of your “bible”, or as you put it, the Big Book. What I thought was one solitary group of winos that met in the basement of a house a couple miles down the road, turned out to be so much more. It turned into a worldwide family that welcomed me wherever I travelled.
