A playful paw helps shift her perceptions
But as her little paw gently tugged my hand toward her a thought like a tiny wildflower began to bloom in my heart.
It was early, only 6:30 a.m., and the day was going to be hot. I was mildly sullen and already moving slowly in anticipation of the heat. I had already informed my lovable labradoodle, Jack, and my interloping cat, Tripod, as they jubilantly met me in the kitchen, that although they could see me, I was not yet open for business. I needed coffee and conscious contact.
